He was predeceased by: his parents, William LaFrance and Margaret LaFrance (Bush); and his brother Lionel LaFrance. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Sonya King of Akwesasne and Sarah King of Akwesasne; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Bentley, Cypher, Jadelyn, Konner and Chelsy; and his siblings, Sheila LaFrance of Akwesasne, Carol LaFrance of Akwesasne, Leona LaFrance of Akwesasne, Harriet Lazore of Akwesasne, Francis LaFrance (Brenda Francis) of Akwesasne, William LaFrance Jr. (Hilary) of Akwesasne, Derrick LaFrance of Akwesasne and Jerry Jackson (Johanne) of Akwesasne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
