We bid farewell to MaryJane Long (Massena, New York), born in Potsdam, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 16, 2024 at the age of 86. MaryJane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Manning and C. Evelyn Manning (Hill); her husband John Long; her brother John Manning; and her close friend Donna Rupert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Riley of Malone, Sue (Carl Hoitt), Shari Gilman of Massena and Kat (Doug Lavigne); her grandchildren, Danielle Malette (Jay), Charles Hoitt, Amy Stone (Layden), Colleen, Josh Cromp, John Riley (Kara Hanna), Dr. Falisha Gilman (Dave Muscle), Katelyn Hoitt, Sarah Lavigne (Joe Capuano) and Erica Lavigne; and her brothers, Thomas Manning of Lisbon and James Manning of Massena. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, an organization that provided unwavering support to Mary Jane and her family, as well as Feed our Vets (1291 Faichney Drive, Watertown, NY 13601), an organization close to Mary Jane's heart that offers free food assistance to Veterans and their families.
