He was predeceased by: his parents, William Barnes and Margaret Barnes (Arquette); his brothers, Elston and Leslie; and his brother-in-law Abraham.
He is survived by: his close friend Joyce; his children, Erin (Manny), Melissa (Joseph) and Michael (Barbara); his grandchildren, Cody, Tanner, Jake, Chrystalynn, Lucas, Grady, Alyssa, Natalia and Walker; his great grandchild Matthea of Akwesasne; his siblings, Esther David (late Abraham), Michael of Akwesasne, Leonard (Lucy) of Akwesasne, Dennis of Akwesasne, Stanford of Akwesasne, Alex Barnes of Akwesasne, Berlin Barnes (Veronica) of Mitchell, Indiana. and Marty Via; and also, James and Elma Jacobs. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Funeral services will be held privately. Visitation will be occupancy controlled with those attending required to observe social distancing and wear face coverings.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the SRMT Office for the Aging or the New Life Christian Church.
