She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert P. Herne and Frances Herne (Cook); her husband Franklin D. Benedict; her children, Donna Lee Benedict and Louis Gus Benedict; and her siblings, Laura Joyner, Steve Herne, Andrew Herne and Joe Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Benjamin F., Barb Benedict of Cornwall Island, Norbert Owen, Alison Benedict of Fort Covington and Tess Benedict (Kevin Boots) of Cornwall Island; her grandchildren, Peter John Burns, Sandi Lee Barnes, Corey Benedict-Bough, Jade Cook, Brandi Benedict, Brittany Benedict, Brandon Benedict, Collin Benedict, Carter Benedict, Wyatt Benedict, Colby King, Marlee Leaf and Kyrah Cook; and her sister Marlene Nolan of Syracuse. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
