She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex "Sakoiewata" Hopps and Cecelia "Kahontineshon" Hopps (Lefebvre); and her siblings, Florence B. Benedict, Marita Skidders and Joseph Harry Pyke.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Mayer (Peter) of Cornwall, Donna Roundpoint of Akwesasne, Joy Roundpoint of Akwesasne, Joan Lazore (Robert) of Akwesasne, Patty Francis (Peter) of Akwesasne, Lynn Roundpoint Chaussi (Kenneth) of Akwesasne, Benjamin Roundpoint (Mary Jacobs) of Akwesasne, Robert Roundpoint (Lisa) of Akwesasne and Edward Roundpoint (Tina) of Akwesasne; her sister Alice Jacobs of Akwesasne; and her sister-in-law Shirley Jacobs of St. Regis. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Julia has been a strong supporter of Catholic Missions, her family wishes for those that wish to honor her life to please consider memorial contributions to the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Heritage Fund at the St. Regis Catholic Mission Church or the Tri-District Elders Center.
