It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. McDougall of Massena, New York, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDougall and Rita McDougall (Seguin); his siblings, Hurley, Allan McDougall, Rita Wheeler, Maureen Hosey, Myrna Cook and Anna Grace; and his great grandchildren, Amber and Vera Leigh.
He is survived by: his children, John McDougall (Nereida), Rita Hackler, Diana Miller (Scott) of Ontario and Liana Hammond (Dale); and his grandchildren, Shannon, David, Dana, Shawna, Sarah, Summer, Donald, Kristopher, Shawn, Ashley, Kearsten, Amanda, Jennifier and John IV. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home (100 N Main St, Massena, NY 13662). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
