He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hazel and Edith Hazel (Richards); his spouse Marion P. Mousseau; his son Gordon Hazel, Jr.; and his siblings, Helen Bennett, Mary Billings, Leona Whalen, Willis, Murland, Waynard, Leon and Don Hazel.
He is survived by: his children, Richard of Massena, Sherry Hazel of Massena and Joanie Hazel of Massena; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Wood of Plattsburgh; his grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Marc, David and Lynn; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Lily, Josie, Mollie, Coby and Dylan; and his brother Claire Hazel of Massena.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordie's memory to the Massena Rescue Squad.
