He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry John and Fanny T. Fairbanks (MacNaughton); and his wife Sally Alma Simmons. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Seeholzer (Steven) of Huntingdon Valley and Sandra Fairbanks-McGlynn (George) of Whitesboro; his grandchildren, Glenn Seeholzer, Laura Seeholzer (Maxime Kinet), Kelly McGlynn and Deborah McGlynn; his grandson-in-law Bradley Sutliff; and his great grandchildren, Camille and Rémy Kinet.
