It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Layton (Massena, New York), born in Easton, Maryland, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Layton and Peggy Ann Layton (Matthews); his brother Dale Layton; and his father-in-law Leonard Welch. He is survived by: his wife Margo (Welch); his children, Edward R. Layton, Jr. (Taylor) of Matthews, Natasha Wilson (Andres Medina) of Massena, Jacob Layton (Nikki) of Valleyfield, Quebec, Caleb Layton of Charlotte, Keith Wilson (Elise Sienkiewycz) of Moira and Anthony Boule of Massena; his grandchildren, Riley, Erik, Isla, Archer and Emerson; his mother-in-law Julianna Welch of Merrill; and his pet Rocky.
