She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Whitman and Maude Whitman (Dow); her children, Terry Miller and Christopher Mittelstaedt; and her siblings, William, Parker, Merrill, Malcombe Whitman, Mary Stover, Sharon Altman and Bonnie Gonyea.
She is survived by: her husband John M. Mittelstaedt; her children, Jo Richards (Wayne) of Parishville, Carol Kingsley of Parishville, Allan Mittelstaedt of Canastota and MaryBeth Aubrey (James) of North Lawrence; and her siblings, Patricia Johnson of Ogdensburg, Nancy Whitcomb of Ogdensburg, Rosemarie Bartholomew (John) of Colton, Ronald Whitman (Grace) of Canton, Noel Whitman (Barbara) of Morristown and Craig Whitman (Melanie) of Ogdensburg. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
