It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine S. Edwards in Massena, New York, born in Saint-Regis, Québec, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Peter and Ann Lazore (Lazare); her sons, Harold W. Edwards, Jr. and Mike "Kim Boy" Edwards; her grandson Corey Tyler Edwards-Lazore; and her siblings, George, Roger, Charles and Edith Lazore.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Edwards of Akwesasne, Allen Edwards of Akwesasne, Rodney Edwards of Chateaugay, Roseanne Edwards of Saint Jean, Richelieu and Charles Edwards of Akwesasne; and her siblings, Greta Barnes of Akwesasne, Dorothy Benedict of Cornwall, Ida Lazore of Cornwall and Raymond Lazore of Cornwall Island. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to the St. Regis Mohawk Senior Citizens or the Hogansburg/Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department.
