He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward F. Smith, Sr. and Anna Cecelia Smith (O'Shea); and his son Paul Smith. He is survived by: his significant other Angela Keefe; his children, Maura Baker (Edward) of Southington, CT, Gerard J. Smith, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth Sullivan (Kevin) of Harding, NJ and David Smith of Randolph, NJ; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Charity), Amy (Kevin), Sarah (Paul), Michele, Carolyn (Devin), Kevin (Alexandra), Patrick (Brooke), Meredith, Gerard C., Gillian and Paul; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Anna, Maeve and Jack.
