It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leatrice Weglarz (Massapequa Park, New York), who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Weglarz; and her brother Stanley Hirsch (Doris). She is survived by: her children, Wendy Conley (Dave), Eddie Weglarz (Kate) and Michael Weglarz (Cheryl); her daughter-in-law Beth; her grandchildren, Kristina Weglarz, Kimberly Lambuth (Andrew), Elizabeth Weglarz-Humbert (Jesse), Michael Weglarz, Nicole Weglarz and Kathryn Weglarz; her nieces, Marilyn Hirsch, Eileen Weglarz-Cooper (Mark) and Laraine Weglarz-Rapp (Richie); and her cousins, Randi Borkin and Lisa Doll (Dan).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Massapequa Funeral Home, South Chapel (4980 Merrick Rd, Massapequa Park, NY 11762). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Foundation of America (https://act.alz.org) and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
