He was predeceased by: his mother E. Lyndell Schaffer. He is survived by: his brother Robert Paul Schaffer; his son Richard E. Schaffer of Matamoras, PA; his father Richard A. Schaffer; his brother David Schaffer (Cindy); his sister-in-law JoAnn Schaffer; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Schaffer, Cara Schaffer, Matthew Schaffer and Amy Meyer; and his friend Billy DeSantis.
