He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Palazzolo and Pauline Palazzolo (Galatioto); his son Joseph P. Palazzolo, Jr.; and his siblings, Cecile Mazzio and Louis Palazzolo.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" A. Palazzolo; his daughters, Lisa C. Roman (Matthew), Corinne M. Leissler (David) and Melissa A. Leissler (Richard); his grandchildren, Gianna, Antonina, Alina, Matthew, Joseph Paul and Ridley; and his sister Antonina Iverson.

Based on new CDC guidelines adopted by NYS, fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced, but unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and be socially distanced in the funeral home.
