He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Slater and Sylvia Koss Slater; and his brother Lionel. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his sons, Gary Slater (May) of Menlo Park, CA and Scott Slater (Sarah) of Bonney Lake, WA.; his stepchildren, Ashley Bouck (Michael) of Albany, NY and Daniel Jeffrey (Breanne) of Buffalo, NY.; and his grandchildren, Amalya, Eliana, Rowan, Leora, Carmela, Adrianna, Benjamin and William.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the DiDonato Funeral Home (1290 US-9W, Marlboro, NY 12542). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (5468 Rte 9W, Newburgh, NY 12550).
