He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor A. Schoonerman; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Adriaansen (Genevieve), Gordon Adriaansen (Carolyn) and Rodney Adriaansen. He is survived by: his children, Steve Schoonerman (Barb), Mark Schoonerman (Sue Wright), Dan Schoonerman (Tracy) and Lori Schoonerman; his grandchildren, Keri Mohan (Baskar), Jessica Matukewicz (Julie), Stacy Backo (Joe), Mitchell Schoonerman, Bennett Schoonerman (Nicole) and Kamryn Schoonerman; his great grandchildren, Maya, Hannah Mohan, Hayden, Greyson, Finley, Hadley Matukewicz, Jack Schoonerman and Dawson Schoonerman; his daughter-in-law Elaine Schoonerman; and his sister-in-law Helen Adriaansen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
