He was predeceased by: his mother Beatrice Croucher. He is survived by: his wife Meridith; his children, Beth Barnett, Tim Croucher and Abigail Hoffman (Brandon Dishaw); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel, Kira and Sammy; his great grandchildren, Phoenix, Finnleigh, Eli, Melanie, Coraline and Forrest; and his sister Donna Nelson (Sam). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
