He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Mabel Gilbert; and his siblings, Skip and Chip Gilbert. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Gilbert; his children, Bill Gilbert (Mary Trice), Bob Gilbert (Donna) and Sheri Travis (John); his grandchildren, Lauren, Corey "Goose", Billy, Hannah, Ben "Kevin" Gilbert, Erika, Matt, Megan "Megster" and Mikey "Hoss" Travis; his great grandchildren, Kenzie, Jesse, Camden, Roanan and Graysen; and his siblings, Linda Newton and Al Gilbert (Liz).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church.
