She was predeceased by: her husband Richard L. Ells; and her siblings, Kenneth Martin (Ginny), Theresa Raupp (Skip), Marybelle Storms (Tom), Norm Martin (Beth) and Roseland Enders (LeRoy).

She is survived by: her children, Judy Richards (late Keith), Gary Ells (Lynne) and Jody Ells; her grandchildren, Randy, Cathy, Keith, Carla and Ellen; and her sibling-in-law Shirley Dean (Hal). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
