With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard O. Fischer of Marietta, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on February 6, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Fischer and Gertrude Fischer (Wild); his wife Betty J. Maitland; and his brother Ronald. He is survived by: his sisters, Lillian Simmons and Paula Richards; and his children, Karen Bailer (Neil), Debbie Hudson (Fred), Robin Harbaugh (Brad), Melanie Epp and Richard J. Fischer (Michelle). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a donation in honor of Richard Fischer could be made to Rose Hill Baptist Church, 2609 Rose Hill Road, Marietta, NY 13110.
