He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cummings and Dorothy Cummings (Smith). He is survived by: his children, Erin (Ed), Adam (Ingrid) and Alexander (Valerie); his grandchildren, Kevin, August, Alice and Kalina; and his brothers, James (Lynn) and Daniel (Kathy). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
