He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sychtysz and Catherine Sychtysz (Najda); his siblings, Sophie Rewer (Ted), Stella Waskiewicz (Edward), Louise Pohorecki, Stanley Sychtysz (Jane), Edward Sychtysz (Mickie) and Chester Sychtysz; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Poppleton (Paul) and Matthew Piechowicz; and his nephew Michael Piechowicz.
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Becktel; his brother-in-law Paul Poppleton; his sons, Dave (Genia Sychtysz) and Clinton; his brother-in-law Frank Pohorecki; and his godchild Patrica Palaka. He is also survived by her son.
