He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Thomann and Bertha Thomann (Freson); his friend Richard Miazga (Ceilings); and his siblings, Evelyn Thomann, Shirley Constantine (Tony), Patricia Werczynski (John), John G. "Jack" Thomann and Christopher "Bruce" Thomann.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Miles; his son Wall; his friend Jim; his children, David Thomann (Kathy), Daniel Thomann (Jodi) and Karen Griffith (John); his grandchildren, Zachary, Maximus Thomann, Danielle Clausen (Duane), Emily, Ryan and Kevin Griffith; his great grandchildren, Nadine and Lucas Clausen; his brother Michael; and his sister-in-law Rose Miles.
