He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kavney and Madeline Kavney; and his brother Brian (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kavney (Newell); his children, Kristine Kendall (Jeffrey) of Odenton, MD, Michael (Kim) of Marietta, GA, Steven (Mary) of Moorestown, NJ, Kathleen Fleming of Utica, NY and Matthew of Annapolis, MD.; his grandchildren, Katie Banks (Alex), Patrick Kendall, Matt, Peter Kavney, Elena, Nicholas Kavney, Maura Hurley (Devin), Eileen Curtis (Luke), George, James and Maddie Kavney; and his brother Gary (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
