He was predeceased by: his sons, Edward and William. He is survived by: his daughter Ann Elizabeth Blitgen; his children-in-law, James T. Stauckas, Valerie Meisel Blitgen and Valerie Kinder-Blitgen; and his grandchildren, Jennifer L. Blitgen and Scott A. M. Blitgen.
