He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Neu and Helen Sanderson Neu; his wife Patricia Harris; his uncles, Austin and Charlie; his aunt Leora Purcell (Raymond); his siblings, Betty Ahlstrand, Nancy Ireland and Gene (Joan); and his granddaughter Jessica Lynn Neu.
He is survived by: his children, Dale (Pat), Dean (Gigi), Lynn Benedetto (Rich), Cindy (Jerry Neely), Doug (Heather) and Stacey Alfieri (Bobby); his grandchildren, Joshua, Kelley, James, Abby, Brittnie, Alison and Lily; his sister Judy Hekiert (Leon); and his brother-in-law Gordon Ireland. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
