He is survived by: his friend Shirley Garcia (Hoyt) of Marathon; his children, Millissa Ross (Mark) of Marathon, Rosalind Schuman (Todd) of Bellingham and James Garcia Jr (Mallory); his grandchildren, Kendra, Bree, Cadence, Asher and Nolan; his mother Anna R. Watson; and his siblings, Yvette Alfred (Danny), Richard Garcia (Patty), Charles Garcia (Donna) and William Garcia (Nohemi).
