He was predeceased by: his former wives, Betty Wheaton Kurtz and Delores Welch Kurtz; his parents, Chancey Kurtz and Sara Clarissa Kurtz (Clara); his children, Robert Lynn Kurtz and Bonnie Jean Kurtz Jennison; and his sisters, Olive Price, Ruth Kimmich and Florence Cornelius.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Tibbens O'Neil Kurtz; his son-in-law Don Jennison (Donna); his grandchildren, Tamara (James Barrows), John (Carole Jennison), Kelley (William Peri), Deanne (Fred Morrison), Robert Kurtz II and Chrissie (Dennis Askew); his stepchildren, Janice, Richard Hezel, James O'Neil, Kenneth, Rita O'Neil, Paul, Bonni O'Neil, Patricia and David Thon; and his sisters, Lee Campbell and Ellen Johnson. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
