He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Frederick J. Kirschenheiter and Judith Gottheld; his stepgrandfather Donald H. Barrett; and his uncle Frederick J. Kirschenheiter II. He is survived by: his parents, Jeffrey Scott and Pamela Gottheld (Kirschenheiter); his brother Christopher Gottheld; his grandparents, Sue Ellen Kirschenheiter and William F. Gottheld; his aunts, Jennifer Campanella (Mark) and Katrina Kirschenheiter; and his cousins, Brooke, Sarah, Taylor, Jacob and Lexi. He is also survived by cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
