He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Downey and Wilfred Downey. He is survived by: his wife Claire; his children, Jennifer Arthur (David), Tim Downey, Melinda Mason (Chris) and Greg Downey (Alison); his grandchildren, Sara Claire, Sean, Anna Arthur, Michael, James Mason and Shea Karen Downey; and his siblings, Michael, Thomas, Lynn Baum, Karen, Susan Tortora, Janet Bianchini and Mark Downey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
