With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Edward Markinson (Manhattan, New York), born in Jamaica, New York, who passed away on April 27, 2020 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Haritini Kanthou; his sisters, Katherine Finkelstein of Staten Island and Denise Markinson of High Bridge; his nieces and nephews, Katherine Okun, Rachael Vallaro, Martin Finkelstein, Karl Finkelstein, Lambros Tsentas and Christos Tsentas; his parents, Irene Markinson and Bob Markinson; and his grandparents, German and Brooklyn.
In the COVID-19 lockdown, they watched Berlin Philharmonie's free Digital Concert Hall performances and planned to visit Berlin again to experience a live performance at the hall, once things got back to normal.
