It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary E. Hussey in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McDermott and Catherine McDermott; her husband John P. Hussey; and her sons, Peter and Joseph.
She is survived by: her son John (Jack); and her daughters-in-law, Janice and Jennifer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A wake was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hudson Funeral Home (6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church (6000 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471).
