He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Gardner. He is survived by: his daughters, Joan Mandel (Peter Mandel) and Linda Gardner (Claude Chalem); and his grandsons, Matthew Mandel, Joshua Mandel and Natan Chalem. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Donations in memory of Dr. Gardner may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, The Community Food Bank of New Jersey or The Emergency Housing and Advocacy Program in Freehold, N.J Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside ceremony will take place at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
