He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Pisetzner; and his siblings-in-law, Ellen Pisetzner and Joel Kleinman. He is survived by: his children, Mindy Berkower (Howard), Howard Pisetzner (Michele) and Karen Fried (Richard); his grandchildren, Andrew Pisetzner, Jason Berkower and Jenna Berkower; his brother Dr. Mel Pisetzner; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Kleinman (Debbie), Regina Kleinman and Barbara Kleinman.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions in Ira's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, God's Love We Deliver, or another personally meaningful charity.
