We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2019, at the age of 94, Helen Gavin (Manhattan, New York), born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Volovar and Florence Volovar (May); and her husband James Gavin. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Carroll (William G.) of Wappingers Falls; her grandsons, William J. Carroll (Sylvia), James Carroll and Shawn Carroll (Kapri Conley); and her sister Dorothy DeVito (Joseph). She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in Helen's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
