He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Flint and Farris Flint; his daughter Mary Flint Kemma; and his brothers-in-law, James Lindsay and David Florence.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughters, Laurel and Amanda; his sisters, Nancy Flint, Sue Lindsay and Betsy Koester; his sister-in-law Michelle Florence; his son-in-law Shujaat Kemma; and his grandsons, Haadi Daniel and Haashim Paul Kemma. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Dan was a founding member of the New Horizons Band of Moore County and donations in his memory can be made to New Horizons Band c/o Molly Wilson, 134 South Pine St, Aberdeen NC 28315.
