He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo Avena and Mary Avena. He is survived by: his brother Michael Avena; his girlfriend Antoinette Lewis; his children, Donald Avena and Michele Rowe; his children-in-law, Lisa Avena and Jonathan Rowe; his grandchildren, Katie, Brigid, Gail, Holly, Ella, Joe and Charlie; his girlfriend's children, Brian, Liane, Meghan and Ryan; and his children, Desi, Keira and Benjamin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairchild and Sons Funeral Chapel (1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
