Kathleen S. Cavanagh Obituary

Born on April 5th, 1951 My mom got her wings on august 18, 2022.

Kathleen (Kathy) S. Cavanagh Pacelle was born in Mamaroneck NY to Charles and Edna Cavanagh. She had a sister Sharon Cavanagh and a brother Charles (Chip) Cavanagh. Kathy was married to James B Pacelle from Harrison. Later on had a subsequent long-term relationship with Andrew D. Grescak, also from Harrison. Kathy and Jimmy had a daughter Tracey R Pacelle.

She was also blessed to have two granddaughters that love her very much. Angelique Gabriella Pacelle and Serene Natalia Pacelle.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, a sister Sharon Cavanagh and a brother Charles (Chip) Cavanagh. Also ex-husband, in-laws, and nephew, David Caron.

Kathy graduated high school and worked for the phone company. She then married James in 1970 a year later they had their daughter Tracey. They lived in a house on Irving Place in Harrison. Kathy was a stay-at-home mom. She loved being with Tracey. She would bake cookies with her. Do prayers with her and teach her to speak Spanish before bed. Then her husband would come in and teach her French. Kathy would play board games all the time with her daughter. Take her to the park, zoo, family events, etc. They were also close not just as mother and daughter but as friends. Kathy's, sister Sharon was her best friend, to the point that she would talk with her daily while she was in heaven. In fact, one of her last acts on earth was to call out to her.

Kathy was well-traveled and she liked Hawaii the most. They had moved to Putnam Valley NY and bought another house there. At one point as Tracey got older Kathy got a part-time job as a pharmacy tech and did that for a number of years.

After her husband and she divorced in 1985, she met Andrew D Grescak from Harrison. They lived in Mamaroneck. They would travel and were the best of friends. Together they continued and worked as a team raising Tracey. Around 1992 Tracey started college as did her mom. They went and graduated from WCC together. They both went to Pace University together as well. Kathy graduated with a master's in education and a minor in psychology. She received honors and was awarded the highest ranking due to her stellar grades.

Soon after, her first grandchild was born on the same day of the month as she was. She was Grammy's little A'ng (Angelique) - oh, how she adored her!

Years later, her second cherished granddaughter Suri (Serene) was born. Kathy loved being a grandmother. She had a very special bond with them and they knew that they were always loved by their Grammy, Grandmere, and Babushka.

Mommy, I love you and will always treasure all the good times we had. I know you're at peace. Know that when you left you took a big part of me. When we meet again I will feel complete. We walked together and we will fly together.

Forever yours, Tracey Ruth.

Christ's promise is for you, and for all who put their faith and trust in Him: 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die' (John 11:25). take comfort in God's promise that death is not the end, but ahead of us is heaven if we belong to Christ. We were not meant for this world alone, and by His death and resurrection, Christ removed the one barrier that separates us from eternal life - the barrier of our sins.

'Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.'

God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, 'Come to me'.

You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain. I could not wish you back To suffer that again.
