With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael E. Hoit of Malone, New York, born in Montréal, Québec, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hoit and Mary Hoit (Nolan); and his siblings, Jim Hoit, Charles and Judith Hoit.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Huet; his children, Laurie Morfe (Frank) of Oakland, MD, Edward Hoit (Marcy Dow) of Chateaugay, NY and Joshua Hoit of San Diego, CA; his stepchildren, Marcel Huet (Nathalie Cheyney) and Johanne Huet; his grandchildren, Kelsey Wallace of Chateaugay, NY, Alex Hoit of Springfield, MA, Christopher, Nicolas and Morfe of Oakland, MD; his stepgrandchildren, Roxanne Huet (Marc-Antoine Lambert), Kimberly Huet (Cederic C. Beauregard) and Steven Huet Lazure; his great grandchildren, Wilder and Hutton Huggins of Chateaugay, NY; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mathew, Eliott Lambert and Milan Beauregard Huet; and his sister-in-law Marita Hoit of Duane, NY..
