He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha (Cenova); his parents, Joseph Rutkowski and Kazimera Rutkowski; his siblings, Joseph, Janus, Ted and Irene Deforest; and his granddaughter Catherine Bernardo (Rutkowski).
He is survived by: his sons, David (Helen) of Endicott, Michael (Patricia) of Pittsburgh, PA and Daniel (Kathy Wallace) of Newark Valley; his grandchildren, David W. Rutkowski, Jr. (Melissa) of Endicott, Joseph Rutkowski (Carrie) of Newark Valley, Patrick Rutkowski of Endicott, Colleen Tyler (Jason) of Pittsburgh, Michael Rutkowski (Kelly) of Pittsburgh, Jaclyn Rutkowski of Pittsburgh, Matthew Rutkowski (Jamie) of North Carolina, Thaddeus Rutkowski (Katie) of Kentucky and Elizabeth Rutkowski of Syracuse; and his child Little League of Maine. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
