He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Royce and Eleanor Mott Royce. He is survived by: his son Philip; his daughter-in-law Kira Royce; his daughter Andrea Royce; his grandchildren, Bridger and Claira Royce; his siblings, Stephen and Ellen; and his wife Lorene Woods Royce. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
