She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruth Ellen Heumann and Lawrence Laffin; her stepfather Darwin Heumann; her husband Eric Stack; her children, Nathan Parlin (Melissa Gamblin), Noelle Parlin and Jasmine (Dana Hicks II); and her sisters, Rosemary (Wayne Graffius), Jeane Laffin, Janis (Jeff Izeman), Margaret (Jeffrey Hoffman) and Beverly (Gavin Herbst). She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Joan has requested that donations be sent to Lemonadeforkids - a nonprofit organization founded by her dear friend - at Lemonadeforkids P.O. Box 1275 Standish, ME 04084.
