He was predeceased by: his father Casimir Romanowski; and his grandparents, Stanley, Mary Czechowicz and Frances Romanowski. He is survived by: his mother Judith Czechowicz Romanowski; his siblings, Dr. Stanley Romanowski (Anne), Dr. Michael Romanowski (Abigail) and Rebecca Kennis (Matthew); his nieces and nephews, Dr. Kelsey Romanowski, Dr. Alec Romanowski (Katie Abbott), Nathaniel Romanowski and Hayley Kennis; his godchildren, Hayley Kennis, Nathaniel Romanowski, Dr. Alec Romanowski (Katie Abbott) and Dr. Kelsey Romanowski; his pet Casey; and his godmother Kathy Lou Pavlovich. He is also survived by several cousins, an aunt, and two uncles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David's memory to Gigi's Playhouse Southern Tier in support of his goddaughter's Down Syndrome Community.
