With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert E. Manning of Mahopac, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert left this world on April 13, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Manning and Esther Blackburn Manning; his former wife Joan; and his sister Phyllis Sinagra. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Wheeler (Kevin) of Amenia, NY; his stepdaughters, Laura Viscome (Drake), Maureen Bachtig (Barry) and Joetta Lisowski (Benjamin) of Fishkill, NY; his grandchildren, James Manning, Ayden Robert Wheeler, Brittany Sanford, Joseph Lisowski, Drake, Gregory Viscome and Jacob Hammons; and also, Leo Viscome and Scott Sanford.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (221 E Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY 10541). An entombment will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at the Rose Hills Memorial Park (100 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY 10579).
