Madeline Jackel Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Jackel of Mahopac, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Barbato and Frances Barbato (Capizzi). She is survived by: her children, Lisa Jackel (James Wacker), Michael Jackel, Michele DeCola (Richard) and Meredith Rapisarda (Darin); and her grandchildren, Alexis, Gionna, Jillian, Niko, Summer, Sierra, Madison, Jax and Brody.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (221 E Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY 10541). A burial was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at the Ballard-Barrett Cemetery (526 NY-6N, Mahopac, NY 10541).
