He is survived by: his parent Sylvia Guiher of Machias; his children, Nicholas Alan Howard of Virginia, Nathan Howard of Virginia and Robert Samuel Howard of Virginia; his siblings, Roger Sherman of Friendship and Patti Waterman of Machias; and his stepsister Patricia Swinnerton (Jim) of Buffalo. He is also survived by granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
