He is survived by: his wife Judy Longyear; his children, Kelley Ryan Austin (Robert Schaffer), Tara Smith (Paul) and Philip Longyear; his grandchildren, Caley, Hayden and Quinn; and his siblings, Douglas Longyear (Linda) and Debbie Kozelka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
