She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Irene "Jackson" and James Monroe Doan. She is survived by: her sons, Peter J. Brown (Elizabeth) and James W. Byron, III; her brother James Doan (Betsy); and her grandchildren, Brandon Brown and Ashley Perez. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
