It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Joseph Johnson of Macedon, New York, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Johnson and Joseph Johnson; his siblings, Yvette DePuyt (Dave), Leo and Raymond Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Mayola Johnson, Laura Wagner (Keith), Gene Kunzer and Arnie Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Julie Roemer (David), Scott Johnson and Eric Johnson (Lynn); his grandchildren, Justin Roemer (Lisa), Ashley Baker, Tim Johnson, Mariah Ameele (Courtney) and Erika Johnson; his great grandchildren, Kolsten, Ayla Baker, Kinley, Jaimeson Roemer and Maverick Ameele; his siblings, Robert Johnson, Rita Dorofy (Walter), Doris Hapke (Robert), Nancy Ridley (Fran), Dinah Stevens and Betty Reinholtz (Robert); his siblings-in-law, Steve Lada, Carolyn Kunzer, Brenda Guarno (Joe), Toni Roemer (Doug), Eleanore Johnson and Jane Johnson; and also Luke Baker. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy Macedon Chapel (1040 NY-31, Macedon, NY 14502). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels (1040 NY-31, Macedon, NY 14502). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Macedon Village Cemetery (28 S Erie St, Macedon, NY 14502).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or Shriners Children's Hospital.
